Shared folders on Windows 7 computer not visible to other computers

I have a homegroup with several Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers. One of them is Windows 7 PC with external My Book that contains several folders I need to share with other computers. I have been able to successfully share two of the folders but no matter what I do I can't get the other two folders to be even visible to other computers. All folders have exactly the same sharing and security options. Is there a limit to the number of folders that can be shared -- I only have 2 and I can't believe that would be the limit

    Any suggestions?

Have you tried adding the folders of the drive to a shared Library? There isn't a limit of two folders.
