DNS Server - use any one that "ranks" higher?

ofccourse all the logs error dissapear -you have the dhcp enable and you should never have to change the -optain an Ip automatically - instead you should use the first two ip to and paste them to use the following dns - ussually there is no visible prove that the speed increase ,but the answer - means the most near server you can access more faster.Don't forget also to change the QOS limit bandwith -going from 20 to 0

Can you comment more on QOS limit bandwidth?

Thanks for the reply.

I changed just the DNS IP addresses in the TCP/IP Properties on my network connection on my desktop to the Google DNS. I'll watch the Windows Logs for errors or warnings.

Please explain the QoS settings. I see an upstream and downstream on my DSL router page.

Is just changing the settings on your desktop or laptop network connection sufficient?

I also checked my Verizon DSL modem webpage, @ http://192.168.1.1/, and I noticed there were different DNS IP addresses configured. In order to fully take advantage of the DNS IP address change, don't you need to change the configuration settings on this gateway?

Do an ipconfig /all and look for your Default Gateway and DHCP Server IP address under your Ethernet adapter information.

Then type that IP address into your browser address. My DSL provider is Verizon. I get the DSL modem or Gateway setup page where I can view status and change settings.

Do an ipconfig /all and look for your Default Gateway and DHCP Server IP address under your Ethernet adapter information.

Then type that IP address into your browser address. My DSL provider is Verizon. I get the DSL modem or Gateway setup page where I can view status and change settings.

ipconfig /all gives me the configuration information for my router not the cable modem.

In my case, my router and DSL modem are one and the same. Do you have a separate router and modem?
