    ports on a Netgear GS105 switch


    I just bought the switch so I can have more ports at my desk for wired Ethernet. Is port #5 from the router and ports #1 through #4 go to the various computers?

    It really makes no difference; I would normally do it the opposite from you (Port #1 from router) but electronically it's the same.
