How do I view the stored username and password on a Workgroup

    How do I view the stored username and password on a Workgroup


    Hello everyone, is there a way to view the stored username and password of a computer i connected through
    a workgroup? Well, i forgot my password on the ones stored on the workgroup so i need it to recover my lost
    password. Please help me. Thank you.

    If you actually forgot the passwords to those machines I believe you will need to reset them in order to get back into them. The passwords stored in the credential manager for workgroup machines aren't viewable. The link below shows you how to change forgotten passwords in Windows 7.

    Password Reset

    You can set up for automatic sign in with the steps in the link below.

    Log On Automatically at Startup

    Hi chev65, I have just read your link re password reset. Fortunately I don't need to do it but looks rather complicated. Is it possible to access the Administrator account in Win7 to delete a forgotten password. I know it was in XP.

    I've read the post in resetting the password in win7 but i have some questions. I have two admin accounts in my pc both with passwords. In the first account, i have forgotten my password, and i only want that account to reset its password. Is it possible using the keyword "net user <username> <password> that only the first account will be resetted? Thanks in advance.

    For me, the best method should be option 3. This is very Useful. Thank you.
