i having been reading & searching all day & nite for answers for what vpn would be a good one to go with & this is the best ones from my understanding for online anonymity best to worst IMO from searching & reading
    AirVPN
    mullvad
    perfect-privacy
    ivpn.net
    incloak.com/vpn/
    VPN4All
    Ipredator
    BTguard

but i still have ?s to be answered like does a vpn work with http & https normal web browsing
does it protect me from being unmasked &/are from my isp viewing any data received & sent while connected vpn
& if anyone has used these vpns how often does disconnection happen during my online connection
i have read that happens which is not good for security reasons
& this might be a noob one but what is a Fixed IP is that a static ip

I heard that Shrew Soft was pretty decent. This is the one I hear most people talking about.

Let me share my experienced too in this post. I have been using Fast VPN for the last six months and found it best at a reasonable price. I use it to transfer my files and credit card numbers to make online payment securely. On weekend I use it for streaming videos over You tube and to watch tv shows on netflix. I found the connection and its speed very smooth.

Don't know if it's the "best" but Hotspot Shield has been pretty decent for me. They've got a free version (you'll see a lot of ads) and a paid. Disclaimer: I have no financial interest in this product and offer it merely as an alternative VPN.

So many companies offering VPN connections now, good in a way I guess as keeps the pricing down. Best to look a comparison sites to see whats offering what. Most of them unblock BBC, ITV, HULU, Skype, Youtube etc now.
VPN GUIDE – Compare and find VPN account providers. has a pretty long list of comparisons.

    HI folks,

Good thread. I just started a thread today looking for recommended VPN companies - this thread answers that aspect of my question and I have quite a few recommendations here to follow-up on.

Sorry for the hijack, if someone could help me out with these questions:

    1) I understand that it's set up through the Network and Sharing centre - will I need to make any changes to my router?

    2) Will this make any changes to my standard "direct" internet connection or can I just swap over to it when I choose?

    Thanks!
