    Network Adapter Not Found

This is with a wired ethernet connection. Verizon FiOS internet. The router is working and other devices on the network connect to internet just fine.

It's a Biostar TZ77B motherboard. There were some issues with Windows Startup. I did a repair using the disk, also reset CMOS. Booting fine now. I've tried installing the Realtek Ethernet Controller Driver but get the error- The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable. Deep Sleep Mode is not enabled.

    Here's the ipconfig output-

And of course if I try to use Windows Network Diagnostics to troubleshoot I get the Diagnostics Policy Service is not running error.

Any help with this is appreciated. I'm a reservist currently recalled to active duty for a 1 year tour in Africa but home on R&R for two weeks and this is the main computer for my family, so trying to get it fixed before I have to go back. I was about to just place an order for a new network adapter card but thought I'd see if you guys could help first.
