Host file blocked sites hit logger.

Does anyone know of any software to monitor the host file and log every time it blocks a site? I use HostMan for my list but I have over 35,000 sites on it and I need to match a few specific hits. The best I can think of is using Wireshark to log then search it, but that's a pain in the butt.

I do not know of software that will do what you want - but can you please explain (again) why you want to do this? Are you wanting to reduce the entries in the hosts file to those that you actually use?

Well kinda, a few of the blocks interfered with adblock plus, but I already found them. They were blocking my ability to bypass advertisements on a few streaming sites. Honestly I still cannot figure out why exactly but I am sure because every time I turned off one or the other I could bypass them again lol.

All good though, thanks for the reply

Glad that you got it sorted...
...because I could not say much more on the topic
...since discussing ad blocking is against forum rules:

    14) No ad blocking discussions. This site depends on ads to pay for the costs of running and maintaining it.
