Base filtering engine, ok, did you at one point have McAfee installed on this system?

Can you check to see if Network Discovery and File and Printer sharing is staying turned on in the Network and Sharing Center?

These are the typical symptoms of a corrupted base filtering engine which will require a repair.

If you need to repair the base filtering engine there is a way to fix that problem, just follow the directions in the link. You need to run the ServiceRepair.exe. :)

How to share entire drives
Using the WORKGROUP method on W7, because one of my laptops has XP. I'm the only one using my net, so I want to open EVERYTHING on EVERY computer on my wlan. Googling produced only results for folder sharing. But that's not what I want: got a drive with 90 or so folders...:rolleyes:
