Wifi signal fine, but getting ( "!" ) error msg and lost connection.

My wifi signal is fine, but I've been getting a yellow ( "!" ) error msg over the wifi icon and losing connection every 5 minutes or so. Some quick background....... (Recently upgraded my dsl speed from ISP provider. Same modem and wifi router, but I did reset them a couple of weeks ago, but the wifi disconnecting just recently started.)

Anyway, just did a diagnosis, and it mentioned "DNS error".

The only thing I can figure is that I had at one point a couple weeks ago connected my ethernet cable to the laptop when having issues with resetting the modem. So under Control panel-network connections-change adapter settings, I disabled "local area connection" and the "wireless network connections 2 and 3" (whatever those are?).

Oddly, for the last 30 minutes hasn't been cutting out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Johnny6,

    Welcome to Seven forums.

Please let us know if there are other wireless devices on the same network and do they work correctly or not.

Also, have you tried updating the wireless drivers for your system or not. Kindly update your system specs here by following this.

Check the system under safe mode with networking and let us know:

    Safe Mode

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.

Hello, thanks for the reply. I have no other wireless devices except for another laptop that has been off and never an issue before. There is a 2.4ghz phone, but moved that further away and it's always been there before with no issue.

Haven't updated wireless drivers before and not sure how to.
