Do you think you can turn your dualboot system to a VHD and use Xpmode?
If so, just use Xpmode.

Ok so your goal is to be able to use Ubuntu whilst in w7, and you don't want to reboot the machine everytime to use the other right?
Just install XP Mode, create your current system as a Virtual Hard Disk and use it in XP Mode.
Download Windows Virtual Pc and Xp mode from Microsoft site.
Not really, I wanted to just have regular access to both, not via Virtual Machine.
I dont think its possible, I may end up going with the RDP since it allows you to stream music.
But there is gonna be that 1 out of 100 times I wish I woulda got the VNC so I can log into Ubuntu.
I dont know what to do.
bump
So you want to use both systems (both OSs) LIVE?
How do u think you can boot up and run both OSs at the same time? Ie how do u RDP to a non active OS, regardless?
Well thats the crossroads that I'm at.
Clearly I am not able to boot up different OS with technology yet
I just have to determin whether I want a strictly Microsoft based RDP or a multi OS VPN.
I would naturally default to the VPN, but it doent stream live audio like the RPD version does.
So I have to figure out whats more important, streaming live audio or being able to access Linux once in a great while when I happen to be on it.
But realistically, if I can get my dual monitors to work, I would probably use it more even though I have windows 7 which I like.
You are not at any crossroads, one system booting cannot boot and use two OSs at the same time. Untill you determine what you want to do, and what you can do, there is no point in talking about RDP/VNC...
Well I guess with the fact that I'll be on an iPhone, there really isnt any reason to stream music, as I will most likely have plenty of songs on it to play.
But I will be using Ubuntu more here in the future, so perhaps at those times a VPN type application will be need.
I guess I'll just get VPN.
No one else has experience with the Jaadu apps?
Is the pinch technology available in the VNC & RDP clients?
