Network issues Windows 7 to Vista

Windows 7 Primary Desktop wired to router. Windows Vista secondary Desktop connected to router wirelessly and can access both the Primary computer & the wireless printer without difficulty.

When I try to access the Vista computer from my Primary Win 7 computer, a panel "Enter Network Password" pops up. Both computers have the same user name and password (administrator), which does not work, and the Router Network name & password also does not work.

I have set all the relevant Folders for sharing on both computers & I have not used or setup the "Homegroup" option on the Win 7 computer.

Thanks Roderunner > Unfortunately I still get the same Pop-up saying to "Enter Network Password". I have no idea what password they can mean because I have only two that have any application here.

One is my Windows Administration User Name & Password, which is the same on both computers. The other is my Network/Router name & password/phrase, that is used for anybody wanting access to my network. I have tried both of these and they do not work.

I have posted a more accurate picture of my setup. (The one created by the Network & Sharing Center was not strictly correct) I stopped using the Virgin Router because they kept "Locking me out" of the Router HTTP Access page. This setup means that the Belkin Router feeds directly off of the Virgin modem/Router.

The Primary Computer is hardwired directly to the Belkin modem (As is a Siemens VOIP Telephone wireless box). The printer & second desktop are connected wirelessly.

All systems and applicable interconnections work fine except the Windows 7 Primary PC to Vista PC access/sharing, which asks for * that Network Password!

Thanks > Did that but no Joy > However, I spotted something that may be relevant to my problem.

The two machines display what appears to be two different networks.

The one on the first machine is listed as a Home Network (This was originally called a different name but in my earlier efforts to resolve the problem I renamed it the same as the Wireless Network). It is not password protested.

The network on the second PC is listed as a Private Network. This is WPA2 password protected.

I have attached Pics of both Network Maps but, as I said before, they do not reflect the Physical wiring of the Win 7 Main PC. It's Network cable is plugged directly into the Belkin Router (elmike) & not to the Virgin router (F9K1002). This is as per the previous Pic I posted.

No > I'm stymied on that one. Vista groups both 'Home' & 'Work' networks under "Private" without any obvious distinction between either. The alternative 'Public' is strictly for use in public domains (like Cafes) and has extra security to cope with that scenario. The Vista warning given, when setting up a "Private" network, is 'Choosing "Private" permanently changes firewall configuration to allow communication. This can be a security risk.' So it would seem that this is the correct configuration for what I want.

No > It is my home/private network & I want all PCs (and a soon 'To be introduced' Tablet) to be able to access each other.

The printer is not a problem as I can operate that from both computers without a hassle (That was easy > I just uploaded the software & said "Find" > it did the rest)

The main reason for setting up Cross access is that I regularly get raided by Family who always prefer to use "My" PC. This means that when they visit (regularly) I have difficulty in getting at my 'Stuff' which includes Work, eBay etc. If things are urgent, I need to kick people off, which sometimes creates tension. This intended solution should overcome the hassles.

Before you say anything, I have spent 10 years & a significant amount of time and money setting up my (elder) kids as Computer independent. But I still get one rebounding, at least twice a week & at least for 4 hours a time.
