wireless card shutting off after sleep

hello all I don't normally see myself posting in the forums for Network and sharing, but I am right now because for some reason or another after I wake my computer from sleep I find that my wireless network connection says Not Connected- No connections are available, but when I click it my connections are there and when I click on my network to re-connect it takes about a minute to connect, also on my computer I checked the fn+f5 and it says my wireless card is on, recently I did tell Windows not to turn off the wireless network adapter to save power, would this have anything to do with it? and one other thing I do turn off my wireless card through fn+f5 if I am using the computer on battery power

Could be why not change the settings back to what they originally were. I have a strange thing happening with one of my Toshiba's in that the screen brightness is reversed and I cannot find out why but I think it was to do with setting the machine the way I wanted it and just maybe you setting the machine has done something similar.

why not run these just out of curiosity

It might be similar to this thread that I had solved recently. You are right about your hunch.
