Internet Connection refused - Can't connect to internet

    Hey,

I've had this problem for a few days now, and I have no idea what to do. I've tried looking up other problems, but none of them are exactly like mine, so I'm posting here to see if anyone can help.

I can't seem to browse pages through browsers; Chrome gives me: "Error code: ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED" and internet explorer also does not work. When I troubleshoot through ie it gives me "remote device refused connection" (or something like that, that's not word for word).

I was confused because skype and steam are still able to connect; so maybe this was a DNS issue. I checked what to do in those casses, and I pinged a few sites which I have been able to get responses from (like google.com and yahoo.com, etc...) so I don't believe my DNS is having issues, but I don't know.

At this point, I'm not sure what to do. I ran ipconfig /release and I got something that said "No operation can be performed on Wireless Connection 2 while it has it's media disconnected" which I am unsure if relevant.

And here's the ipconfig i get when run in cmd:

Unzip and run the following file which will reset the TCP/ip, winsock, flush the DNS, renew the Ip etc. when it's done your machine will reboot automatically. If nothing changes then please reset your router.

    Fixed

    Hey,

Fortunately enough, my issue resolved when I got home - It just worked. I actually did nothing. I came home from work and it worked. I did not reset my router or anything like that.

I know this does not help people who have this problem, but that's as much as I can say.
