how do I get access rights from Admin. to review networ

    how do I get access rights from Admin. to review networ


    I can see all my network locations but when I come to open a file, access declined , need Admin. permission. How do i find this in the system ?

    Are you on a homegroup or at work on a workgroup? who is the admin of that computer?

    It's a homegroup and I"m the Admin. I tried all the security setting at least 4 times. I must be missing something

    what folder are you trying to open and is it on your machine or another one?

    any folder, ie MY DOWNLOADS. The main computer works like a charm, it's the 2 slaves running win7 as well. The are connected by a hardwire network through Dlink router. As I said i can see the units on all three computers. problem opening files" need Admin. permission......." must be in something in setup, all using the same workgroup . Beats me..
