Windows 7 Network Folder shared access
I have set up on a networked PC (Windows 7 Professional) a shared folder directory structure which has sub-folders for each userid defined on that PC. Each user will from their own laptop on the network perform a network folder mapping to their own sub-folder. I am able to perform the first network folder mapping for user A. When I try to perform the second network folder mapping for user B using a different drive letter, I get the error message
The network folder specified is currently mapped using a different user name and password. To connect using a different user name and password, first disconnect any existing mappings to this network share.
Googled for help and found a number of suggestions like using IP address for the network folder mapping - I am using IP address. Found another suggestion to use "net use" to delete any existing mappings - when I type "net use", I do not see any other mappings.
So I am at a loss, after staring at this problem for the whole day.
Any help would be very much appreciated. I will have about 60 defined users performing the network folder mapping from each user's laptop.
