Disable the IP Helper service:

Disable the DHCP Broadcast Flag
I have tried all of these just in case something works. In my case i have set Wired Autoconfig to automatic, and started it to see if it does anything.

When i was editing the registry there were only 2 GUIDs, and only one had a page of info (ip addresses etc) so i knew that was my NIC.

  • Motherboard/NIC: ASUS P7P55D PRO / Realtek PCIe Family Controller
  • Wired or Wireless: Wired
  • CPU Architecture: x64 i5
  • Upgrade or Clean Install: Clean Install
  • Driver details: Realtek 7.9 Drivers
  • Problem description: Degrading Internet; seems only to effect http regularly. It could take a day it could take 2 hours but slowly and surely web sites take longer and longer to load. A reboot or changing a setting on the network driver resolves the problem temporarily.
  • Solutions or Suggestions: I've tried just about everything mentioned on the forums here. Different drivers, auto tuning disabled, static ip, turning off all services and startup items. You name it I tried it. Although the issue has gotten better it's still there and I'm pretty desperate for someone to provide a resolution at this point.

I do not, this is a completely clean install. I had the PC custom built so there isn't any random software installed.

Then try to reset the router back to factory condition. Look in the manual for how to do that.

Hmmn so you think it's a router issue not a driver issue? I'll give it a go.

I think a really good chance, yes.

If that doesn't fix it, type "system information" into the start menu search box and hit enter. Use ctrl+s to save on the screen that opens. Rar or zip the saved file and attach to a post using the paperclip. In many cases, I'm able to see something that may be causing issues or I can advise things to try.

I've decided to go direct to the cable modem and bypass the router.

Attached is the system info incase you do see something but I'll continue to try without the router.

Hey. Uninstall Malwarebytes.

The service is causing you an issue I think. If after testing you still want to reinstall it, I will tell you how.

So ya, uninstall that. Reboot and test. Let me know.

Also do this right now:

Type service.msc into the start menu. Hit enter.

Disable these:

Simple TCP/IP services
NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D
Windows Search <<< you already have the Seaport service running instead - no need for both

Uninstall Norton if none of this helps and you will have a great system. Enjoy. If you leave Norton (don't do it! lol) and everything was already fine before you got to this part, disable the Windows Firewall in services.msc. No need for both and actually bad.

Reconnect your router and like this too should be great after these things.

Since going directly into the cable modem I've had 0 problems.

You think any of the fixes above would relate to the router(Linksys befsr41)?

Malwarebytes was installed after I started having problems.
