New computer, unable to connect to the network, wrong IP address given
I recently changed my motherboard to an ASUS Maximus VI Hero and am unable to connect to my home network through a wired connection. It says 'Unidentified Network, No Network Connection.'
When I set the IP address to set automatically it gives me:
IP: 169.254.136.172I've tried enabling/disabling the network adapter driver, reinstalling the driver and setting a static IP. None of them worked. Is there a setting in the bios for this motherboard that I'm missing or is it just bad hardware and requires a replacement?
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
Any help is appreciated.
