    Windows 7 missing network adapter

This is second time after a shut down.. Last time it was uninstalled and reinstalled (W7). It worked great. Now after another shut down it will not connect to internet.... missing network adapter.

If I go to Dell and download the network adapter to match her service tag will that correct this problem?

I will have to upload it to USB stick and load the driver from that source because we cannot connect to internet.

    Thanks to any

I'll assume this is a PC with a PCI NIC? In either case you should try shutting down the system completely, unplug the power and remove the power cord then push the start button to bleed off extra power.

Remove then reinstall the NIC "assuming it's PCI" then plug back in and boot up, see if it's showing up in Device Manager.
