my sony laptop won't connect to wireless network--"identifying"

    Hello,

I am not a computer whiz, but all of a sudden my laptop wont connect to my wireless network---other devices on my network are connecting just fine, checked the router and wireless adapter, both are fine. I have seen some posts about possible fixes, but am wondering if this is easy enough to fix myself?

    Thanks for your help

Yes, I believe this should be a easy fix for ya. The first and easiest thing to try is to power cycle both the modem and router so it will "reset" them both. Unplug both of them for about a minute or so; then plug the modem back in first and let that fully boot; then plug the router back in and let that fully boot. If that does not fix the problem, then i would go into the device manager in the control panel and completely uninstall the wireless adapter(s) reboot; and let windows re-detect the adapter(s) and reinstall the drivers for them and hopefully that will correct the issue.

Good answer Matt wonder if it worked as I am having the same issue with my main Toshiba. What you said is the only way of fixing mine.:)
