    I get disconnected from network

This is the story. I upgraded to Win 7 from Vista on two computers and in one of them the network kept getting disconnected. So I got a new network adapter from the compatible list and tried. It kept happening. It worked fine for a while and then it just lost the network. The computer was also freezing and crashing and never shutting down, so I decided to do a clean install.
It's not freezing as much it still does, and the shutting down takes forever if it happens at all, and I keep loosing the connection to the network. Please tell me what to do, I'm going crazy!!

Setting a static ip may help with the shutdown issue and also connectivity issue. It will for sure, help with a slightly faster boot time because it doesn't have to wait for authority from the router's dhcp server and to pull an ip address from it.

Get the latest driver for the adapter by visiting the manufacturer's website. If no 7 driver, get Vista driver.

You could also look into a firmware upgrade for your router from the manufacturer of it, which may help with your issue.

Check the forum for common advice such as how to disable IPv6 if you don't use Homegroup...etc...

If you would like further help beyond that decent advice, open a command prompt and run this command by copying and pasting, then hit enter. Post a screenshot of its findings.

    ipconfig /allcompartments /all
