Network printer - not seen from other

A printer connected to W7 cannot be seen from XP nor Vista. File sharing is working. File and Printer Sharing is turned on. The context menue displayed when printer icon is clicked on, does not include "Sharing" option. How can I set sharing of a specific printer?

Do you have "File and Printer Sharing" turned on in your Network and Sharing Center? All computers?

As stated in my original post, it is turned on. It appears that the specific printer I want to share needs be set for sharing, but I could not figure out how to. I attempted to do so a la for XP or Vista but I did not see "Sharing" option.

Edit: I found how to do it. It appears that MS made setting for printer sharing much more complex and cumbersome.

LOL, don't they always? We asked for more security, and they gave it to us.

Anyone tell me what happened between the beta & RC because I could access the printer while I was using the beta but not now with the RC?

Try installing printer software on remote PC.

That cured mine. don't forget the latest drivers.

Thanks did that, well I suppose I did because it is working, but the other way round, Installed the printer to my wifes laptop, the most commonly turned on computer in the house (running XP SP3) and from my laptop (Win7) it installed ok, but my d/t (Win7) & my sons d/t (XP SP3) I had to muck around to install using : \\Server\Printer Name

So Thanks WYSIWYG, but I would like to sort it back the original way Win7 as the server

    Confirm

I can confirm, that using a printer on a network share (a Brother HL 2030 on a Win2k SP 4 machine in my case) isn't longer possible with RC1. It was with Beta. The W7 machine does see the printer; an attempt to install the drivers ends up in "Error 0x000000d". Very interesting :)
