I was on 6.3.. Now..
Just today I upgraded from the good ol' WRT54G to the ASUS RT-N66U and boy am I ecstatic.
Had 20 & 20 before. I realize now that we had been paying for the 100 Mbps Ultra 101 service for the past few years for no reason
On the upside, I was able to download a 20 something GB game in about 15 minutes earlier. Was gettin' 14 MB/s
Had the same experience. Went from a comcast modem, was getting 50mb down, to a Motorola modem then started getting 65 down.
Now I got upgraded to the 100mb plan since burst Comcast transitioned to the faster 100 down. SO now I get around 120 down and 30 up.
Upgraded from TWC Standard to TWC Ultimate:
Tested via WiFi:
Initially bought a Virgin Media Starter pack, 30Mb/s Internet with Weekend & Evening Calls & free Tivo, doubled the download speed for £5/m to 60Mb/s (with a 3Mb/s Upload). Got a free upgrade just over a week ago so now on the "up to 100Mb" service for download speed but on the 60Mb/s service for upload speed.
Not really bothered about the upload though as my Dad was told that the free upgrade wouldn't do the upload speed (I said I didn't see why not), either way here are my results from tonight:
Gigabit wired connection on my PC:
Testing via WiFi on my Nexus 5 (link speed 433Mbps):
I upgraded from 60Mb/s to 100Mb/s a couple of weeks ago, then decided for an extra £4p/m I may as well get the 150Mb/s.
