    WRT160N, or WNR2000. Please help.

I'm not positive on which forum this belongs in so sorry if networking is not correct.

My Linksys Wireless WRT54G router recently broke for no reason. It has been good to me over the past year, but I've discovered a few dead spots, and also a bit of a slow connection. I'm not too picky when it comes to my ipod touch/laptops but when it hits the XBOX LIVE i get so extremely frustrated.

Supposedly nobody uses G routers anymore, in other words they are ancient tech now. I need a N router that is better than this one but under $50. I've found these two on ebay.

    Netgear WNR2000:
    Netgear WNR2000 RangeMax Wireless-N 802.11n WIFI Router - eBay (item 380170045183 end time Nov-19-09 12:12:42 PST)

    Linksys WRT160N:
    Linksys - WRT160N Wireless-N Broadband Router - eBay (item 400080229434 end time Nov-19-09 03:29:54 PST)

I've heard some horrible things about Netgear's routers, i thought maybe you guys could tell me which of these routers is better. They are both perfectly in my price range so I'm hoping one of them will suit me. (Btw I don't care much about range, only need enough for a small 1 floor house)

    Thanks.

I've got the WRT54G and it's still working fine for me, after 5 years.

People don't say horrible things about anything for no reasons...go the Linksys!

I think you misunderstood me, i was talking about the netgear one that people have been saying they die out after a year or so, they are very hard to install, and the range is really bad.

But anyways yes, i bought the linksys one
