Does Win 7 home premium: remote desktop: wireless internet possible
Hello --
I'm thinking of upgrading to Win 7 home premium since XP is no longer supported. I run it through my Mac with parallels. Stupid questions, maybe, but I'll ask them: Does home premium have remote desktop and if so is it possible to use it with a wireless internet connection? I seemed to have been able to do this with XP, but the bitrate was slow, and it's jut been upgraded to handle streaming audio (the work that I do streams audio from a server, rather than downloading it; just the way my employer wants it). Do I need an ethernet cable running to my Mac, or can I use the airport connection (the wireless internet option) to stream audio? |

Welcome to the Seven Forums.
You can compare the features here: Compare Windows 7 Editions All versions of W7 can connect to other computers using a Remote Desktop Connection (RDC). But only Pro and above can host an RDC session. In other words, only Pro and above cal receive an RDC call. I use a wireless connection with RDC. I can stream audio and video via RDC via wireless. I'm just not sure about an airport connection. You let us know :-) |
