    Wireless issues in Windows 7.

    Hi everybody.

I installed Windows 7 for the second time yesterday on my Toshiba Satellite U500 (total specs: Toshiba Satellite® U505-S2961 Laptops) and am absolutely unable to connect, let alone detect, any wireless networks. I know they're working, as my desktop is connected to our home network and works just fine.

I'm assuming the issue is with the drivers being somewhat outdated, or the BIOS being outdated. I updated the drivers from the Realtek site last night which they released after W7 came out, and still nothing seems to have worked.

Anybody have any ideas whatsoever, or maybe someone has experienced this and can provide some insight?

Help would be very appreciated. Many thanks.

    - Shawn.

    I have a similair problem
i am running currently vista on my PC and it works fine
however when i switch to Windows 7 it detects the Wireless adapter without any problems device manager also says it working properly
but when i go to network adapter settings the wireless adapter is shown disabled ... so i click on enable device and wait 5seconds it says enabled but it is still disabled

this problem started after i upgraded my Motherboard before i used an different wireless adaptar thought i might have damaged it by removing and replacing it from the motherboard anyways the new adapter is also not working with Windows 7
but it use to work before not sure what to do i installed all required drivers
