Diagnostics policy service won't start - Connected, but no internet

For some reason my laptop does not connect to my wireless network. It says I have "limited access." I tried troubleshooting as administrator and it says diagnostics policy service will not start. All other gadgets in the home work. I have tried so many methods to fix this and I just cannot find any solution to this on internet. I've looked on previous threads on this topic but none of the methods listed didn't work for me. Is anyone able to assist or have any ideas?

This is a fairly common problem but with a few different solutions. The following link shows 7 pages of people with this same problem. Some of the solutions seem to be working so should be worth trying.

Unfortunately, none of the methods worked for me. I tried the "net localgroup Administrators /add networkservice" but I only got yellow triangle with the exclamation point. Connected but no internet access. The 3rd method suggested by rajithR didn't work for me either. I looked at the link and tried the sfc scannow in safe mode and that didn't work either.

I guess not much credit is giving to those who help with the problem yet aren't able to fix it.

I believe about every single workable solution was in the link I posted.

This problem can't occur all by itself, therefore it was caused by a virus or malware.

If you can't even complete a simple system file scan like the sfc scan then you won't be fixing this problem any time soon.

This is not something we fix in the networking section because you see, it's not a networking problem though it appears to be,...it isn't.

Well I will gladly take any new suggestions. Not planning on getting a new one.
