Laptop won't see networked computers

    Ok try this, on the laptop, change the name of the Workgroup to something else temporarily, like Workgroup1, hit apply, also add a description for the machine at step #7 just type Workgroup for description.

    Restart the machine then change the name back to Workgroup and just leave the description as Workgroup. See if anything changes. You may need to do this on both machines.

    Shows you how to do this. > Workgroup Name - View and Change

    I rebooted a couple of times and it still shows, give me a week and if it's still there I'll mark as solved, with many thanks

    Yes give it some time. It will be good to know if those tricks to fix the issue will hold up.
