Will Windows 7 Pro prompt for login to new network?

Novice when it comes to networking. I have built several PCs, but for home use.

I work at our church, and have been using a workstation they have in place. I am getting a new office, and have built the PC I will use. The workstation connects via ethernet to a Windows Server (12?) I think.

Question: when I bring the new PC to church tomorrow, will the server automatically ask me to login with my church credentials or will I have to setup the PC to login to the server?

I am using Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. I was told by an uninformed source that as soon as I boot up with the ethernet cord in place, I will might prompted for a login. What should I expect in the morning?

    Thanks!

If it truly connects to a Windows Server on a Server-based Network rather than a Peer-to-Peer Network as used in homes and some small businesses then Yes, you most likely will need information necessary to connect.

You will need to have the pc added to AD, (active directory) and registered on the domain first on the server side, then the pc side before being able to be prompted for login credentials.
