Nosferatux, it appears win 7 has lost control now that i disabled it, but Intel utility has not taken full control yet. the intel program is turned on in the service window. But I cant bring up a window to configure it. I know once it takes control I will get the intel connection icon...which has not appeared yet

got time to remote access my notebook and help me out?
My apologies, I was out this weekend. Maybe we could set another time?

For now, I'll try to look into your Intel ProSet not activating properly.

I hope you're right zillaamer7F although I have my suspicions.

Since this is not a laptop, if you could somehow borrow a newer model wireless router, you can test if you're able to connect there. If you're able to connect to the newer wireless router, it's a compatibility issue. If you're not able to connect, it might be just a configuration thingy

I know all that what you have gave me. and I have the latest driver possible.

I believe that mine main problem is with NAT on my router. cuz NAT is some kind of firewall and it has in it 3 mac adresses.

    pic

last one is for WLAN adapter
second adress is from Nvidia nForce Networking Controller

I belive that the first one is from my IPTV

and off course one is from my PS3 but there is not here. but I have another pic with adress from my PS3.

I belive that is the main problem.

and sudenlly when I try to connect over my wireless it said that my key is not good. and when I enter my router and see WEP2 key is the same one. :)
If you also followed the router reset, there shouldn't be any other entries in your router's NAT configuration. By default, NAT is enabled but is not configured for anything really. Maybe your hunch has a basis that, your NAT might be blocking your connection as it can be configured to do that.
If you're not comfortable resetting your router to factory defaults, I'd suggest, resetting the NAT table to default, you could easily take note of the entries or back up your router's config if you've made major changes. Might be worth a try

    You're most welcome.

Please download the Intel® PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility User's Guide Version 12.0 there is a troubleshooting portion of the documentation that outlines the issue you're encountering with this utility and gives a step-by-step guide on how to resolve it

    Hi Nosferatux,

Thanks again for taking the time to help me out! I read through the utility/trouble shooting guide and did not see anything that looked like my problem....below is my previous thread to you.....

    You're most welcome.

Please try running the utility in Vista compatibility mode, check to see if this makes the icon appear. Restart and try again.

Not sure if this fits here, but I have a WRT54G router where I connect from a Dell laptop with an Intel Pro/Wireless 2915ABG. I use to be able to get internet access from Windows 7, but now I can't. In XP, all is fine. Wired in Windows 7 is fine.

Here is the kicker, while in my house I can connect to unsecure Linksys router that shows up in the wireless network screen and can access the internet. Any ideas?
