how to open a TRX file to upgrade router firmware

    I probably don't have to update the firmware but i verified the firmware is very old and there are two new updates for it .

    I was also reading that the router is supported through the below firmware

Hi, I have a Dlink DSL-2640R Router which i have had for about 3 years but have not updated the firmware on it in that time. is this necessary and important to do. if it is how do i do it ? Your help and advice will be most appreciated.
Should I upgrade the firmware of my netgear wndr3700 router so it will now support ip6 protocol instead of ip4. The update in in netgears website. The support for my router has expires so I would need to pay for support if there any problems. The netgear wndr3700 works perfectly right now...
