    using windows fax and scan via network printer


    HI,

    I have my main home net and then my all in one HP printer (printer, scanner, fax) is on its own wireless host name. Im trying to get windows fax and scan to use that print net (or my home net) to connect but cant seem to find really good instructions of how to do so. Everything i have seen so far uses the modem option, or its so lack of detail that its no good. I have a new I7 but i guess it does not have an internal modem on the board.

    Anyone accomplished such a setup and willing to share the process ?

    i actually think i might have it, i didnt think about this before. When you print the document you just choose to print to the fax rather than to the printer and there ya go... i dont even need to use windows fax and scan. I can do so right from word or libre office. Works for me wow, nice

Hp printer B210a unable to scan

I am trying to scan using the B210a all in one and it works using the USB cable but not using the network connection. I have activated it but it keeps saying scanner component is broken and cannot copy or scan. It can definately still copy. Any suggestions would be welcome.:(
I want Windows Fax & Scan to automatically save scans to my images folder on my server instead of the documents folder on the c drive. I click Tools > Scan Routing, then tick use network folder and put in the location \\SERVER\Photos\Scans\ but it comes up with the error message...
Scan Through Shared Printer

Hey guys, Does anyone know if you can use the Windows 7 Windows Fax and Scan with a shared printer? I got my computer to print via the shared printer, pero when I attempt to preform a "New Scan," it says no scanner is attached to my computer. Any insight? Thanks
