    not connected - connections available

In a previous post I was seeking help with my newly refurbished win7 desktop. I just got it
back and can't join my home group because I can't connect to internet. I get "not connected
connections available". I have 2 machines networked and sharing but I'm missing something.
I clicked on "tools" several times and unchecked "work offline. Each time I restart but it always reverts.
I think that is the problem. following is my ipconfig:

    Windows IP Configuration
    Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : office-PC
    Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :
    Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid
    IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No
    WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : No
    Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
    Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected
    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
    Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet
    Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-16-35-A2-AA-7D
    DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
    Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
    Tunnel adapter isatap.{E869423F-06B9-4A30-B21B-147C77ADFE0F}:
    Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected
    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
    Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Microsoft ISATAP Adapter

I just got the machine today but I reset WINSOCK entries & ipv4 tcp/ip stack. Ipv6 gave
"there's no user specified settings to be reset". where do I go now?

I find that the prob is w/the wireless adaptor. In googling the netgear WNA 3100, people world wide
are trying to get the thing to work. I'm kinda lost in this and would like advice.
