Internet displayed as connected, but actually not

    Hello,

I recently moved, and at my new house, I'm unable to use the internet, even though its displayed as connected, without the exclamation mark. My roommates are all able to use the internet, and my desktop's internet had worked fine everywhere else.

    Help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you using any configured firewall applications or appliances? Typically, Windows will use DNS to validate whether or not there is an internet connection. It may be possible for UDP port 53 (DNS) to be open yet TCP port 80 (HTTP) to be closed.

If you can provide an IPconfig output this will be a start in determining the cause of this :)

Can you please follow this tutorial - Basic Requirements Before Posting your Networking Thread. This can help us identify what may be causing your issue.

    Many Thanks,
    Josh :)
