Windows 7 Pro logging into Samba domain controller

I have searched the forums for two weeks and I still cannot log into a Samba domain controller. I have tried everything suggested including upgrading my version of Samba to 3.3.4 and it only made matters worse. After two weeks, I am able to have my laptop join the domain, but after I reboot and try to log into the domain as a user, it keeps giving me the lost trust error, meaning that the creds were rejected. I have tried every combo of enabling and disabling of the RequiredSignOrSeal and RequireStrongKey registry entries and still nothing. If anyone has a patch or another workaround to get this working, I am all ears. The funny thing about all of this is when I log into the local host account, I can see the other machines on the domain. Could this mean I am actually logging into the domain and I don't even know it or is that a whole other issue seeing as how the login screen is telling me I am logging into the local machine? Again, any help would be appreciated!

    What's the "local host account"?

How do you "see" the other machines "on the domain" when logged on as that account?

    To troubleshoot this without guessing:

    - install
    - start a packet trace log
    - quickly repro the symptom
    - stop and save the trace
    - zip and upload here.

Analysis of a packet trace is the best way to troubleshoot networking issues. Once the activity "on the wire" is understood, it's possible to be more focused in searching for a resolution.

When I log in, I see MACHINE-NAME/user. When I log into that account and double click the network icon on the desktop, I can see my domain controller server and I can access the shares on that server. Keep in mind that I can join my laptop to the domain, the problem is that I cannot log into the domain. When I go to login into the domain with a username and password, it gives me an error telling me that the trust relationship with the domain server has failed. My packet trace from the login attempt goes as follows:

    08:25:53.308456 IP jlmnet2.groove-dpp > jlmnet1.netbios-dgm: NBT UDP PACKET(138)
    08:25:53.310120 IP jlmnet1.netbios-dgm > jlmnet2.groove-dpp: NBT UDP PACKET(138)
    08:26:38.067117 IP jlmnet1.netbios-dgm > 192.168.10.255.netbios-dgm: NBT UDP PACKET(138)
    08:26:38.067274 IP jlmnet1.netbios-dgm > 192.168.10.255.netbios-dgm: NBT UDP PACKET(138)

I don't really see anything abnormal with it, but another pair of eyes looking at it couldn't hurt. Thanks for the time!

OK, can you zip up the trace and upload it here or somewhere?

I am now able to join my domain. The problem was the PDC was not liking that I was trying to sign in over my wireless connection. Once I was able to use an ethernet connection, I was able to log in. I am using a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router.
