No online gaming. I do watch Netflix. My present modem/router has 8 channel downstream / 4 channel upstream bonding so I need the replacement to have that. I was looking at the SB6141 (black) and then getting a wireless router. My SBG6580 has been showing a lot of errors lately.

    NetGear has some nice equipment,
However I would recommend a combination model not separate ones for the simplicity,
    Cheers.

I was trying to stay away from a combo unit (like I have now) so if I have a problem with a certain piece of hardware I can replace just that part and not the entire unit. This is my second SBG6580. I does make it easier to setup but I don't have a large network so a separate modem and router shouldn't be too hard to manage.

This is what I'm getting on Channel 8:

    8 Locked QAM256 136 705000000 Hz -7.7 dBmV 38.2 dB 11679 21760

    I guess my options are:

Motorola SB6141, which I can only seem to find in white. It's DOCSIS 3.0 and IPv6 compatible.

Netgear C3700, which is a cable modem/wireless router. I have a Netgear switch that I can use for my wired connections.

I bought the Netgear C3700. Speeds are slightly better. Let's see if I have connection issues like the SBG6580.
