Well, not sure what to read there. However, I could smell my toast burning. Went to go look and my computer started up. It had been sitting for about 20 minutes. When I got back the computer was off again. I thought I had imagined it. Then it started by itself again. It showed the Gigabyte screen and then showed-

Checksum error. and something like "creating new image". It then counted to 1,000s. Then another screen came up stating an error ISD/ISA or something. It was all too quick to take notes.

It then booted again and is up and running.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Do you know of any utilities to check my settings?

Also, how can I disable the ERP without rebooting and entering BIOS?

You need to Reset the BIOS no other way to do it ... Of course if you replaced the Battery it would be Reset ....
