WiFi disconects all the time on my PC-using Netgear WN311B adapter

    Hi all,

Today I installed the latest netgear drivers for this wireless adapter of mine to hopefully improve my wifi signal on my PC, as it has been a bit slow recently and I thought the drivers were outdated or something. However since doing this my WiFi has now decided to disconect all the time meaning I am not really able to use the internet anymore. It just disconects me and I have to just re-conect again all the time. I have no removed those drivers and the problem still persists. Can anyone help?

Internet service provider is Virgin Media, also using a netgear router. I have AVG 2014 free on my PC. If anymore info is required I will add it :)

    I have Windows 7 Enterprise N, a desktop not a laptop. Cheers,

    Henry

Have you checked Event Viewer for clues?

Don't know if this would help but I had a similar problem that was not easy to find the cause of. I had my router set up to a static IP for my PC, but because of a bug in my Netgear router it couldn't handle Mac addresses beginning with something else than 00. So the router always kept trying to reconnect my PC because it couldn't allocate the correct IP to it.
The solution was to disable obtain IP automatically on my PC, and set a static IP outside the DHCP interval from my router.
