Limited Access Problem With Wireless Network
My laptop got disconnected from the electricity (with no battery) and when I started it, I could not get it to connect to the wireless network at home. It shows available networks but always gives “Limited Access” when I attempt to connect to my home network. Other devices (phones and laptops) are connected to the network and have no problems. I have tried the following with no result:
- Restarted the router.
- Changed the network password.
- Restarted laptop with last good known configuration.
- System restore in safe mode.
- Checked windows update. The last update was a day before the problem started. The uninstall button is not enabled for this update.
- Virus scan showed nothing.
- Uninstalled the wireless adaptor driver and restarted the laptop.
- Downloaded the latest driver for the wireless adaptor and installed it.
- Disabled Windows Firewall.
Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue ?
My laptop is HP Pavilion g6 series with Windows 7 Professional (32bit).
Thanks
