    Marvell Yukon 88E8059 - Can't register resources

    Hey guys.

I have a big problem with my LAN controller..for some reason the driver for it has randomly stopped working. I've tried to reinstall the setup from Marvell's website a number of times, rebooted etc but it just won't bring it back. It's an onboard Ethernet controller on an ASUS Crosshair IV Formula AM3 motherboard.

Event Viewer shows that it just failed randomly but doesn't say what the cause was.
    Failed to register PCI resources

The description for Event ID 5000 from source yukonw7 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

    \Device\NDMP26
Marvell Yukon 88E8059 Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller

the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table
This is all I see in the Event Viewer.

EDIT#1: I also see the following:
The Peer Networking Grouping service depends on the Peer Name Resolution Protocol service which failed to start because of the following error:
    %%-2140995069
Help with this ASAP would be highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

My system already performed one automatically after a display driver crash. It caused a BSOD with a STOP code of 0x0EA or something.

I don't know what to do. Reinstalling Windows is an absolute no-no.
