File transfer over Wifi between laptops slower than internet speed

My network is like this. 3G router connected on LAN of TP-Link Wireless router.
    3G router | TP-Link Wifi
    Wifi Disabled | Wifi Enabled
    DHCP ON | DHCP OFF

I am using TP-Link because i needed more LAN ports as 3G router is having only one.
Now I have 2 laptops, connected to TP-Link wireless router. I am getting same bandwidth of around 1Mbps from my 3G internet connection that is download+upload speed of around 130KBps, wether the USB is connected directly to laptop or to the 3G router. But if I transfer between shared folders on my 2 laptops, speed that i get is never more than 56KBps that is around 450Kbps.

I have cjhecked with Inssider there is no signal interference by any other wifi nearby. Also i have tested using open security of wifi, tried changing between 128bit & 40-56bit encryption sharing setting on both systems & disabled all antivirus & firewall on both. There is no change in speed. Wifi is in the same room no more the 5 meters away, mode is N and 40MHz bandwidth setting.

I can't understand how the speed i get from my internet connection is faster than my local laptops. Also the specified bandwidth is 300Mbs that is 37.MBps, and i don't even get 1MBps.

    Welcome to Seven Forums,

I'd try fiddling with the router's wireless mode setting - usually on Mixed mode. Experiment - Set it to N (if available) or G/N or G. You may also fiddle with your Wi-Fi adapter's setting if available.
