    Compaq Presario CQ62 WiFi not working


    I have been working on a friends laptop for a couple days and can not get her wireless card to see networks. It has internet as long as it is hooked by ethernet. Its a compaq presario cq62 running windows 7 64bit. There are no yellow question marks in device manager, and I have downloaded all the drivers for the network adapter (I believe). Under network adapters it just has:
    Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller
    Realtek RTL8191SE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter

    Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated

    Welcome ksdoyle :)

    Make sure the wireless button at the top of the keyboard above the F9 key is ON & lite up

    lol of course it is. That was my first thought because my friend was explaining it to me but now that I have it I can't see anything stopping it from working
