    If it is a dns issue, how can i proceed?

    oh, and how them my second computer (which has windows xp sp3) can browse the web?

    Set a static ip for the network adater.

    Also, I don't want to get involved with all your tasks running in task manager. There's a lot there that probably should be disabled, though.

    I rechecked my dns settings in the router, in the ISP and in my laptop ipconfig /all.
    They seem to be correct.
    I cant ping them from any of my computers though

    I just installed a clean windows 7, on another partition (dual boot), and the internet does work here.
    Booting back to my upgraded windows 7, I still cant figure out what is blocking the internet..

    Please advice

    I'll tell you what....run a Malwarebytes full scan. If it doesn't help you, I will try to see what to say about this better. Good luck.
