My laptop has virtualization HD support so I can run VPC 7 but since I do not have Premium et al but only Home Edition I cannot run XP Mode. Win 2000 inside VPC. Using Additions for 2004 I can get a decent screen display and mouse ability to not be locked in - but no data inside the HD of VPC can be sent back to the Win 7 Host as shared folders will not work.

I see that NetBEUI is no longer supported as a network interface - so that option is out. Is there a way to point my Vietual Machine to an internal network with my Host?

Thank you

btw - I suppose when I am done I could swap the drive over to Virtualbox and have it do the sending bck and forth to the host. I have an old graphic app that will not work Win 7 - but XP or 2000 fine. Since 2000 abandonware - you can get a free copy off the net at Winworldpc. The graphic setup in Virtualbox cannot handle what VPC 7 does nor can VPC 2007.

I feel the matter solved but not perfectly

In asking the question I gave myself the answer - but it is cumbersome. I setup Win 2000 HDs one for VPC and one for VirtualBox with a shared virtual slave drive. I send all work done in VPC to the slave. Turn off VPC and turn on Virtual box which allows shared folders and send the finished work out to the Host.

The graphic program does not totally finish the work - needs a bit of tweak from VirtualDub and the drivers for VDUB will not work in 2000 - only XP and above. I just have had Win 7 for a few months and may scrap it and install XP on the laptop.

Thanks
