    No internet - odd

PC 2 is working fine. Internet access fine.

But PC 1 no internet. All seems OK

Troubleshoot can't find problem. Says access OK. But none of several browsers can connect.

If wireless plug in by ethernet cable to test if it will work. If so Check for Updates and install all Important and Optional Updates - is there a driver?

    If wired change the cable.

    Reboot the modem and router.

    Flush the DNS: flush dns

For both PC2 (which is working fine) and PC1 (which is problematic), click on the network icon (either wired or wireless) in the system tray, and click on "open network and sharing center".

Then click on "local area connection" to reveal your connection status.

Take two screenshots (one from each PC) of what you see, so that we can see at least what's going on and what the difference is. Can't make further recommendations until we see these two screenshots.

This is what I'm getting -

It locates the network. Asks for password key. I insert password. Then it throws up this jpeg message. You have no preferred network.

I'm going round in circles. what have i missed?

The other 2 family PCs are happily connected thru the same modem.
