External LAN Hard Drive Clouds Reviews and Suggestions?

currently I have a Western Digital MyBookLive 3TB External. Works great, I love everything about it except one thing. Trying to access the MBL from an external computer via web browser is tough work for anyone who is not a techy. Always running into Java conflicts before you can even gain access to it. Mainly due to Western Digital not having a signed cert. If MBL worked like it should externally....I wouldn't need to be looking for cloud choices.

In the MBL I am able to create users, those users get an email and they create their passwords. Their user accounts are assigned to specific directories and the only can see those directories and nothing else. They can easily Map one of the directories to their computer. This is what im looking for....but the Java issue stops everyone in their tracks.

I am looking for good suggestions for external hard drives which connect via CAT5/6 to my LAN and are able to be accessed from anyone who I have created a user for and can only access certain directories and can map those directories to the PC.

Does anyone know if the newer WD Externals have the same Java problem?

    Bring on the suggestions :)

Anyone own a new WD Cloud drive? Able to give me some feedback on how it works when you log in through the browser at WD2Go.com? I get Java errors with mine.
