I would try the Wireless Driver from the Acer Website ...
Thank you. Downloaded, restart. No difference.
It's just the strength of the signal. At the moment I am no more than 2 meters away from the router but I only have 2 bars. After swapping the card from my wife's laptop I know it's some software problem not the hardware.
I am doing a malware/antivirus sweep now too just in case it's that. Not sure what else to do
See what the Malware and Antivirus Scans find ... There are Settings that could be changed for the Router ...
But there is no point in doing that as your Wife's Computer works perfect ...
As you say the fault must be with your Computer and Software related ...
I have done loads of update drivers and used the malware/anti-virus software..... Nothing.
That's not good..... Cant believe I will have to buy a new laptop because my wifi is not working properly
That is if it is the Motherboard ... You certainly would not need to buy a new Computer ...
A USB Adapter should work and they are really cheap ..
Results for wireless usb adapter
That sound good news. Would this bypass the wifi card? Is there a minimum mbps I sould get, ie.300mbps? Thanks :)
