Can't not use Wireless router to access internet.

i've recently bought a wireless router wr-740n. i tried to set up it but the last result is no internet access on wireless network, even when i plug internet cable agian into my laptop, the wired network showed no internet access also. so i have to restore my laptop about 3 times.
my Ip is Static ip and i use a sharing network on the campus (wired network, set up by a guy in charge of it, only for my univ students.).
