Download speed is SLOW in Windows 7 Ultimate

Using a Linsys WRT160N with a Linksys WUSB300N wireless adapter.

This is my internet speed in Minneapolis running Windows XP Pro

And now the speed running Windows 7 Ultimate 32Bit.

I've done every tweak you can imagine from the IPV6, disabling my firewall, antivirus and whatever else you can think of.

The thing is, I use a tool that opens up the concurrent connection in the TCP/IP with XP Pro. Anyone out there successfully fixed the SLOW download speed in Windows 7?

I was just about to report back here that I finally was able to fix everything. Linksys released a new firmware that supported Windows 7 and I'm back to normal now.

    I'm using a Linksys WRT160N with Firmware Version: v3.0.02

Hope this helps everyone else too.

Guys, my internet speed all of a sudden is back to a turtle again. Seems to work one day then decides to act up again.

Anyone else having the same thing happen to them? Just when you think you had things going well and the same problem comes back again.

The GOOD thing is that this forum loads quick enough for me to get help. lol

**UPDATE*** I did a total reset of my wireless router and seems to be working now. Has to be either a router or adapter issue when the internet speed is messed up.

Well your problem is very similar to mine, and many others. Unfortunately I haven't found any helpful answers and its very frustrating. 20kb/s download speed is unacceptable, whats Microsoft's problem anyways.

Update all drivers and firmware that has to do with your wireless. That's how I fixed my problems.
