Can't connect to my home wifi, but other networks show up

    Hi,

I have windows 7 x64 service pack 1 on my acer aspire E1-510. Until yesterday everything was normal but now my home wifi doesn't show up on the list of available networks on laptop but I can see other networks from my neighborhood. However my home wifi shows up on other devices and I can connect to it.

I have tried going in the safe mode but no luck. Still won't show up.

Don't know what to do. Please help.

I would try going back 2 days before the problem with system restore.
If that does not work, take your computer off the wi fi boot the computer and set it up again.

I tried system restore but for some reason it's disabled. Damn it.

I tried setting up new connection on laptop but it sends me to wifi list of available networks where my network doesn't show up while it's showing up on other devices.

Are you advising me to do change something in the dlink admin control panel?

If you have a friend willing to help. See if you can connect to his WI FI. I think that you might not be able to. If that is the case we will concentrate on your computer, drivers etc.

Now I tried manually setting up wifi new connection via network and sharing center but it's saying that network already exists.

No friend around but I tried to find unprotected network. There is one but the signal is one bar only strong. I tried to connect but it says Windows was unable to connect.

    Something became corrupted or changed
Go to search by the start button
    Type device manage
In device manager, do you see a yellow mark near network adaptors?
    If yes update that driver
    If no
    Something has changed.
What has changed since you had a connection
    Updates?
    Software?

It somehow started to work by itself. Don't know what happened and how but now it's working.

    Thank you for your time.
