Can't Tracert.

    Can't Tracert.


    I can do icmp ping at all sites, however my tracert does not work.
    And I'm under the impression that my internet this faster.

    This happened before I restart the computer. Now is running fine, however the latencies were 20ms more than previously when the "Bug" occurred.

    And on Event sayd this on order:

    Event id 1002
    The IP address lease 10.8.0.30 for the Network Card with network address 0x00FFFA6DF4AF has been denied by the DHCP server 10.8.0.29 (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message).

    Event id 1014
    Name resolution for the name 9.51.134.209.in-addr.arpa timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.

    and Event id 219
    The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device USB\Vid_05AC&Pid_12A8\acdf163159b5cd2eccc886c83cc4a8df6e5c4c3a.

    I wonder how to trigger this bug again.

    Some routers block tracert, nothing to worry about.

    In my case are all IPS I test tracert, not just one.

Hello. I just noticed that my smtp connection to my server (smtp.comcast.net) is not sending mail. The same smtp client (Pegasus) receives mail ok. So I tried pinging and trace routing from an administrative command prompt, and notice I can't get a response from anywhere outside the home...

I am trying to understand how tracert works and have some trouble, any guidance is appreciated =D I understand that an ICMP error message "ICMP Time Exceeded" is sent back to the sender machine whenever the TTL value is 0 or 1. But why don't we see the error message each time the trace...
If I run TRACERT (trace route) using the command prompt (CMD) to any website this is what I get: http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m128/enginekid/Random%20Stuff/tracert-broken.jpg It does not matter what URL I try, they all fail. I called my ISP and the agent said my line checks out...

tracert timeouts on USB modem

I am using a USB modem in 32-bit Win7. It works fine for browsing etc, ping, nslookup. But tracert reports a timeout for everything but the final hop. It makes no difference if I turn off Windows Firewall. If I put the modem in a router connected to the PC, then tracert from the PC works fine....
